Dartmoor's one-to-one programs for international students provide rigorous coursework alongside unparalleled academic opportunities.
On the one hand, a Dartmoor student benefits from the immediate attention of the instructor who is focused on the individual capacity and interests of the student. This exclusive focus allows the instructor to enhance learning through observation and assessment, responsive strategies and resources, and through directly engaging and challenging the student. In a traditional classroom, a teacher has to teach to a generic norm and has little time to work individually with a student. At Dartmoor, the individual student is our center of attention. A personalized education at Dartmoor allows for deeper inquiry and greater mastery of skills and concepts.
On the other hand, a student has a far more active role to play at Dartmoor. A student may select from a variety of innovative courses and may even request coursework in areas of particular interest. Furthermore, students enrolling at Dartmoor can choose to pursue short-term (e.g., a semester) or long-term (an academic year, graduation) study. Students can follow a traditional academic year or start at any time throughout the calendar year (on a space available basis).
Please note: Dartmoor students can enroll in an ESL support program, but Dartmoor does not offer a stand alone ESL option for non-matriculated students.
Please contact Admissions to discuss the possibilities.
